Local drops between iPhone and Android.
LinkMyDrop moves photos, videos, files, text, and profile details between iPhone and Android over a direct local connection. Start with a QR invite, NFC tap where supported, or manual invite details.
Phone-to-phone transfer without a cloud handoff
LinkMyDrop is for the moments when an iPhone and an Android phone need to exchange real content nearby: photos, videos, documents, text, and profile details. It is separate from the LinkMyMac and LinkMyDroid Mac/iPad pairing flow.
QR, NFC where supported, or manual invites
Start a drop on one phone, then let the other phone join using a QR code, NFC tap on supported devices, or manually entered invite details. NFC is used to start the invite flow; transfer content moves over the local connection.
Share from Photos, Files, or the share sheet
On iPhone, LinkMyDrop can stage items from the share sheet so you can continue sending in the app. Saved Android devices make repeat transfers quicker, and discoverability controls let you choose when nearby Android devices can request to join.
Send batches from Android to iPhone
Android can join an iPhone drop, receive incoming media and files, or send selected documents and media back to iPhone after the receiving phone approves the request.
Saved locally on the receiving device
Android saves received media and files into local device storage, including media locations such as DCIM/LinkMyDrop for photos. iPhone keeps received items in LinkMyDrop so you can share or save them from the app.
Direct local transfer
LinkMyDrop is built around nearby device-to-device transfer. It does not need a cloud account to relay the files, photos, text, or profile details you choose to send.
LinkMyMac, LinkMyDroid, and LinkMyDrop
LinkMyMac is the Android app for Mac and iPad continuity. LinkMyDroid is the Mac and iPad companion. LinkMyDrop is the iPhone and Android transfer workflow for nearby phone-to-phone sharing.
